Description: Hart’s Mill, LLC (www.hartsmilll.org ) is a 112-acre land project located in Orange County that is currently developing a regenerative farming community with a landscape vision very similar to that of the Walnut Hill Preserve. The project also includes a compact Village design with up to 37 residences, served by stormwater and onsite wastewater systems that integrate into their agricultural elements (e.g., irrigation pond recharge, agro-swales, subsurface drip irrigation of wastewater effluent within silvopasture alleys). In 2017, BODHI created a farm master plan for the portion of the property registered in Present Use Value program for agriculture, which included comprehensive planting plans, agroforestry zone delineation, farm access and fencing layouts, and water management system design. BODHI also helped modify the initial design for the Village development to minimize grading and utility costs, and better optimize the capture and distribution and of water and energy. Currently, BODHI is awaiting contract with Hart’s Mill to complete the final design and permitting for the Village development, which began in Summer 2018.
